About this site
generator-for-home.com sizes home generators and works out prices from published data. That data includes a load sheet showing the size, list prices and fuel tables from manufacturers, and government figures on fuel, wages and outages that go into the cost.
What this site does
For households planning backup power, three questions get answered here. They cover the generator size a house needs, what that generator will actually run, and the cost of buying, installing and fueling it in each state.
No generators are sold here, and the site takes no installer leads, shows no ads and earns no commissions. No page placement is paid for by any manufacturer or retailer.
What the site isn't
It isn't any of the following: a licensed electrician, installer, dealer or utility. The load calculation, transfer equipment and permit must be confirmed by a licensed electrician before any generator connects to a house.
